Efka® 4550 by BASF is a high molecular weight, pH-independent polymeric dispersant. Designed for deflocculation of inorganic and organic pigments in aqueous coatings and pigment concentrates. Improves gloss, color strength, flocculation stability and anti-flooding behavior. Doesn't need to be neutralized. Can be used to produce resin free pigment concentrates for ultra low VOC industrial coatings. Efka® 4550 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments.
