Efka® PA 4403 (Old name: Efka® 4403 N) by BASF is a high molecular weight unsaturated polycarboxylic acids and esters, combined with a compatible organically modified polysiloxane in alkylbenzene. Used as a wetting and dispersing agent to prevent flooding and floating of pigments for solvent-based industrial coatings Helps to prevent interfacial tension between hydrophilic pigments/extenders and binder. Offers reduced dispersion time, stabilization of pigment dispersion and reduced pigment sedimentation. Exhibits improved gloss and slip.
