Dispersogen® SPG

Dispersogen® SPG by Clariant is a tertiary polyhydroxy amine in aqueous solution. It acts as a buffer and rheology modifier. It is a low viscous, non-ionic stabilizer. In combination with the cationic stabilizer Dispersogen® SPS, Dispersogen® SPG reduces the increase in viscosity during storage and helps to improve the rheological profile of the paint. It has a renewable content of 75%. It buffers the interactions between paint ingredients (e.g. pigments, fillers, additives). Improves the paint's thixotropic profile, application and film formation properties. It is readily biodegradable. It is VOC/SVOC-free and does not require any hazard labeling. It achieves good leveling and surface performance. It is APEO/NPEO-free and solvent-free. Used for biocide-free mineral paints containing potassium water glass, such as silicate and organosilicate paints. It is suitable ingredient for ecolabel certified paints. Dispersogen® SPG recommended dosage is 0.2–0.8% in the paint formulation. Complies with eco-lables such as European Ecoflower (2008/4453/EC; 2008/4452/EC), the German Blue Angel (RAL UZ 102:2010), the Scandinavian Nordic Swan (2.3 2008) and EcoTain. It is listed in REACH. Its shelf life is 2 years.
