Dispersogen® SPS

Technical Datasheet |Supplied by Clariant
Dispersogen® SPS by Clariant is a cationic quaternary ammonium compound containing propylene glycol. It acts as a dispersing agent, buffer, rheology modifier and stabilizer. Prevents precipitation, stabilizes viscosity and prolongs the shelf life with the aid of buffering and chelating agents and polymerization inhibitors. It has influence on the paint’s flow behavior by buffering the interactions between paint ingredients (e.g. pigments, fillers, additives). It regulates the increase of viscosity after production and during storage. Improves the application and film formation properties. This yellowish liquid is soluble in water but not soluble in mineral spirit and aromatic solvents. Dispersogen® SPS is used in biocide-free mineral paints and potassium silicate paints with ideal dosage of 0.5-1.5%. Complies with eco-lables such as European Ecoflower (2008/4453/EC; 2008/4452/EC), the German Blue Angel (RAL UZ 102:2010), the Scandinavian Nordic Swan (2.3 2008) and the French NF Environment (NF130:2012). It is listed in REACH, IECSC and NECI.
