Emulsogen® LCN 217

Emulsogen® LCN 217 by Clariant is a preservative-free, low-VOC, APEO-free, non-ionic emulsifier and dispersing agent for industrial applications. It improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions. It is suitable for emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates, styrene-butadiene and vinyl acetate. The recommended usage as an emulsifier is 2% active based on monomers. This FDA approved & readily biodegradable product also improves the hard water stability. The recommended usage as a dispersing agent is 0.1-0.3% as is in the paint formulation. It is suitable for organic pigments and carbon blacks in water-based pigment preparations. The recommended usage is 6-12% as is in the pigment preparation. The shelf life of Emulsogen® LCN 217 is 730 days.
