Emulsogen® LCN 287

Emulsogen® LCN 287 by Clariant is an APEO-free, preservative-free, low-VOC, non-ionic emulsifier & compatibilizer for industrial applications. It acts as a dispersing agent for carbon black, inorganic & organic pigments and aqueous paints & coatings. It is suitable for emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate, styrene and acrylate homo- and copolymers together with anionic surfactants like Emulsogen® EPA 073. It improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions. It prevents skinning of textile coatings with emulsion polymers and enhances the wet & dry scrub resistance for architectural emulsion paints. The recommended usage is 1-3% active material based on monomers, 2-7% active material based on the alkyd resin and 5-35% active material based on pigments. The shelf life of Emulsogen® LCN 287 is 730 days.
