Genapol® ED 3060

Genapol® ED 3060 by Clariant is an APEO-free, nonionic wetting agent for use as compatibilizer in waterborne high PVC paints and waterborne & solvent-borne low PVC lacquers. It also acts as a dispersing agent. It is very low VOC, hazard label-free and easy to handle grade. It is recommended for decorative and industrial paints. It is suitable for ecolabel certified paints. It offers increased tinting strength, improved wetting of the coated surface, good adhesion on metal & polyethylene and reduced water absorption. Genapol® ED 3060 prevents the rub-out effects, reduces haze & the foam build up and has no side effects on surface drying, overpaintability or yellowing. The general dosage is 0.5-1.5% in emulsion paints, 1.0-1.5% in acrylic lacquers and 0.5-1.5% in alkyd lacquers.
