Genapol® PF 40

Clariant
Genapol® PF 40 by Clariant is a wetting and dispersing agent for pigment pastes and preparations. It is nonionic, low foaming emulsifier for emulsion polymerization of silicone, acrylates, styrene-acrylates and vinyl acetate. It is a block copolymer of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, containing 40% w/w ethylene oxide. It improves the latex stability, freeze-thaw stability, electrolyte and shear stability of polymer dispersions. It can be used in combination with other nonionic, anionic and cationic surfactants. Depending on the particle size of the pigments Genapol® PF 40 is added at dosages of 0.5-3% to the dispersion. It is low VOC, APEO- & hazard label-free, readily biodegradable and FDA approved grade. The recommended shelf life is 2 years.
