Nipacide® BIT 20

Nipacide® BIT 20 by Clariant is a formaldehyde-free, in-can biocide based on benzisothiazolinone (BIT). It is an FDA approved, glycol-based solution exhibiting low toxicity. It is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including gram positive & gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and fungi. It can be used over a wide pH and temperature range. It is developed for the complete in-can protection of water-based decorative paints. Recommended usage level of Nipacide® BIT 20 is 0.1-0.25%.
