RHEOLATE® 125

RHEOLATE® 125 by Elementis is an alkali swellable emulsion based on an acrylic backbone, highly efficient rheological additive designed for waterborne systems. Offers high thickening efficiency in the low to medium-shear-rate range and high shear properties which provides very good atomization. Provides high viscosity at low-shear-rate, good anti-settling properties and good impact resistance. Retains high gloss levels and reduces paint preparation time. Exhibits easy incorporation and shows compatibility with other common thickeners. RHEOLATE® 125 is used for typical wood and industrial systems including industrial water-reducible alkyds, industrial acrylics, various wood coatings and metallics. The typical use level is 0.6-2.0% by weight in paints and inks. It has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture.
