Acronal® DS 6257 by BASF is an aqueous dispersion of a copolymer of acrylic acid esters and acrylonitrile. Because of the excellent flexibility of the pure dispersion and the good pigment binding power it is possible to achieve very good elasticity properties in formulated coatings up to high pigment value concentrations of 40-50 % even at low temperatures. Acronal® DS 6257 is used to manufacture flexible coatings like, for example, crack bridging systems for repairs to facades and flat roofs as well as for the production of flexible fillers.
